Red face Finally in SoCal!!!

After one of the biggest pain in the a$$ traveling experiences I've been through... yes, we're here in socal!

Okay... first off... we got to the airport... and after being quoted $300 to ship my dogs by United... Lufthansa (partner with United) didn't have the dog reservations... then charged us 600 euro (about $800) top fly the dogs. Then our Govt travel agent told me we had seats next to each other... but no. Luckily, the flight attendants were nice enough to move some people around to get us paired seats.

Then, the flight from Venice, Italy to Frankfurt, Germany took off about an hour late... leaving us about five minutes to get to our connecting flight... we made it after running through the airport... then delayed the flight to make sure our dogs made the flight... and once again... luckily a ground vehicle bumped into the aircraft leading to another 25 minute delay... giving them enough time to get the dogs onboard. And... once again, seats away from each other... but the flight attendants hooked us up, again (only thing good about Lufthansa besides free drinks!!!).

Okay... so we get to LAX... get a van to Moreno Valley... then the apartment I rented... 2 bed, 2 bath... was only 1 bed, 1 bath! Arggghhhh!!!!

By this time... I was like, whatever... At least I've got a place to sleep. Besides, my furniture won't be here for a while, so this will do.

So anyway... we're here... and trying to get acquainted to the area. Looking at homes tomorrow... We'll see if our luck turns.

I guess it is a gloomy June here huh? In three days, I've only seen the sun for about 5 hours... hehe

Well, we were introduced today to the wrong part of Moreno Valley to buy a house. My real estate agent told me it's a good idea to look over the fence to see what kind of neighbors you'd have... so I did... and some thug stepped out and was aggressively asking me why I looked into his yard... so I let him know that I was trying to determine what kind of neighbors there were... besides all the junk In his back yard... I think he told me enough. Not buying there!

I think my agent is trying to show me the worst of the worst first... so I'll be happy with something better... in the army we called that psychological warfare!

Yeah... in parts of MoVal I feel I might get mugged or shot!

We went looking for homes today in Menifee... looks like a nice area... we found a couple potential homes. Hopefully one of them will work out!
