Better bring your A-game, Sac is notorious for being proud of their high fail rate, upwards of 75-80%, they're very big on the little things...as I'm sure you picked up on when you got that 100 page study guide prior to pre-course lol
Good luck my friend :)

If you're referring that to me, starting medic wage here in Riverside is like $15.31 last time I checked, it goes down every year though....yeah they pulled a fast one on us last time around on the contract...probably the only place where wages go down over time???

Fairfax county in Virginia definitely gives a very sweet pay raise.

Its all a scare tactic with Mt sac. They try scaring us, but if someone is a good EMT than he/she knows all his or her skills and knowledge. The ones that fail are the ones that dont listen to simple instruction like review basic BLS. It is doable both my buddies passed and hopefully ill be part of the 20 % statistic that passes the first time.

Thanks bud

As a basic EMT i get paid 12 dollars and hour, which is more than average for 2 year experience. But private companies, like everyone knows control how much overtime we get.

Our emts start at 12.31...One good thing about AMR is that they keep us under staffed so OT is basically skies the limit...I average about 60 a week, some guys work 100+ but I say eff that, I don't need new Jeep toys that bad :)
