Default Trip essentials security

Mobile Tool Chest

Height 23",584.2mm
Length 37",939.8mm
Width 23",584.2mm
6.7 cubic ft of area

Wide work surface on lid that includes two 2’’ X 4’’ saw grooves
Pull out steel handle with soft grip for easy maneuverability
Large, heavy duty nickel-plated metal latches
Lock & keys included
Wide, heavy duty rubber coated wheels
Deep tote tray within tool chest for storage
Rain proof

I bought this lockable roll along storage box for the rear of my MH and it works great in the 2 Dr JK.

When I have the rear seat flop up against the front seats, I use the rear seat latch pocket to cable lock the storage box to the floorboard, so it wont grow legs and walk off while I'm in a store.

I don't know much about the 4dr, but I imagine you could come off the rear seat frame to secure it.

Eddie and Cindy are working hard to make this a remarkable trek for their forum members, and lets keep it that way, buy not loosing your valuables to a thief, and at the end of the day you can wheel it into your room, I know the box is big enough to keep a 2Dr sun screen, tarp, in it along with camera, laptop and GPS and a few other high dollar items, like recovery gear.

I bought this lockable roll along storage box for 60.00 bucks, cheap security!
With all the site's Eddie will have line up for you, you will be parking in public lots, stores and hotels, so this is just food for thought, and have a safe and secure trek.

This is what I have and travel with

North Face Duffels 1 large, 1 extra large
http://www.thenorthface.com/catalog/...mp-duffel.html

And 2 pack safes

http://www.pacsafe.com/www/index.php...n=detail&id=50

I have traveled from Seattle to San Diego in a 72 Bronco and to Portland and back in a topless TJ. with them

I am not sure you could put a bikini sun screen if it has the header bar, but I have left mine rolled up in the JK and it has never been an issue.

awesome. as i had mentioned, i would recommend reserving a room in king city for now and then, when august rolls around, call up the gibb hall to see if they have any rooms - this is right next to the hacienda. they should have rooms but need to give military priority so they will not take any reservations until august. if you can end up getting rooms there, cancel your king city room.
