Rear Diff Questions. Need Input!
So I took in my 2007 Jeep Wrangler X for a re-gear today. I had thought that I had a 44 in the rear, the shop actually told me I had a 35 in the rear and that Im pretty much screwed unless i swap out for a 44.
I have 35s and would like to know if there is anyway i can change up the gears from stock for now until I can save up the money to do a swap for the front and rear. Thanks y'all |
I am thinking that rearend was a one year wonder and may not have much aftermarket support for gears and such. I hope for ur sake i am wrong.

Your best bet might be to pay attention to the for sale section and find a used 44. You can probably pick up a rubi 44 for about what you planned to pay to build your axle up.

Thank God I have a D44. I saw your issue and realized I'd never even checked to make sure I have a D44.. Good to know, but I hope everything goes well with you problem (I guess problem..?) Anyway, good luck! :)

Jeep guys have been wheeling the Dana 35 for years. There is plenty aftermarket support for them....just ask the XJ crowd.
