Default Trans Cooler this weekend

I was having the the HOT OIL bells, whistles and lights come on when wheeling so I ordered the B&M super cooler and got it today in the mail I am hoping to do the install sometime this weekend, I will let you know how it goes. Trailbud saw your great writeup from a while ago and I am ready to tackle this project. Although I might hold off and do the temp sensor also Any thoughts?

I did the B&M Cooler nice and easy install about the only tough part was cutting in the new lines which would have been much simpler if it was up on a lift. Just my Definitely get the tranny temp gauge but take it from me if you have problems wiring it to the cigarette lighter check your fuse...

I am a big believer in gauges. If you know your transmission is getting hot you can let it cool down before the idiot light or the dinging goes off. But it sound like you may not be having that problem much longer.

I have the aeroforce gauge so I did not worry about intalling a secondary temp gauge.

The only thing that I am pissed about my install was that I have the top of the aux cooler too high and so it is really close to my hood release. If I decide that I cannot live with it that way I will re-mount the cooler with the lines facing up so I will have a lot of room.

Cutting the lines without being on a lift was easy. Be sure to move the radiator overflow bottle out of the way. It slides up and comes out. It is about a two second removal. Then you have a lot of room to work with to cut the lines from above.

Nice tip, I would probably have been battling with that.

Like I mentioned "I am hoping to get it done this weekend" with the kids sports schedule I am not sure if I want to start the project and then not have it completed or have to rush through it. If I see an open window of time I will jump on it.
