North East TN Meet & Trail Ride Stoney Creek trail July 23rd
I wasn't sure I could make it, but I believe I have it worked out.
Thanks JKDon that will save me some cash, if I can get there early enough might bring some steaks or something to throw on the grill. I'll get with you about it as the day get closer

hey guys, im new to the board, i live in jonesborough right now, mainly stock 2010 unlimited, a few upgrades but nothing major, having to take baby steps to get my jeep to where i want it to be. Just noticed this thread and wanted to say hi and i would love to meet up with you guys the next time you go out.
You're more than welcome to come out with us next week. A stock JK can handle the trail just fine, but if you're afraid of trail damage, I'm sure somebody will be happy to let you ride shotgun. Let me know and I'll put you down.
we ussually just have a meet like this once a year, but I'll see about maybe getting another together this fall when the leafs are at peak color. There are always people getting together for small group rides around here.
so yet again work gets int the way of fun. i have to work around two on the 23rd but should be able to meet up and ride a lil bit of the trail. they sprung up a huge project that will eat up my next two weekends. ill hope to see ya on sat.
me and my girlfriend drove up to the top of holston mtn july 4th weekend and i would recomend bringing some chainsaws and some chains to pull downed trees. there was a ton of downed tress near panhandle road so i imagine the trail will have a lot of downed trees as well. it looked like a tornado may have touched down on holston mountain a few storms ago.

Don and I have been up the trail since those trees came down and the trail really didn't have much damage... the couple trees that came down on the trail had already been cleared. There is a lot of carnage over there off the exit road, but nothing that should slow us down. That said, I will be bringing my chainsaw just in case.
