ARB Locker Alternative
I was going to bump my old OX thread, but I thought I'd open it up. Does anyone carry an alternative selectable locker for our "new" Dana 30's? Does anyone know of any that are in the works? While my first choice would still be OX, is Eaton or Auburn developing anything?
I hear ARB is a great locker, but I also hear about fuses, actuators, compressors, lines, etc going out. I'd still prefer a simpler selectable system.

This is great news! I was told by others that I would have to re-drill the new carrier as Dana is putting larger ring bolts in the "New" Dana 30. Have you put a locker in one yet?

This is from the ARB web site....
Below is from www.northridge4x4.com
"The ARB RD-117 Air Locker will fit a Jeep JK Wrangler X and Sahara rear Dana44/30 Spline and the RD-100 will fit the front Dana 30, both with minor modifications needed."
http://www.northridge4x4.com/proddet...od=ARB-AIRLOCK
Any idea how hard these are to install, or how much a shop will charge to install them?

I don't know why it's taken me so long to get this figured out. Part of it may be that the folks I have talked with don't hear me when I say Dana 30. I think they must instantly go to the 44 number. Then, I think our search engine is sort of hit or miss. After trying to find info on OX's for months on this site, I find 4 threads on it tonight.
Plus tonight I also find all kinds of info from IGOFISHN on diffs all over the place! IGO, I hope you're not worn out from saying this stuff over and over. I truly appreciate you finally clearing this up for me. And Hurstrescue your post nails it! I don't want to go ARB so I never thought to go on their website for answers, I just kept listening to the folks who were hearing "44."
Thanks all! Looks like an OX in my front end come springtime!
