Poison Spyder has recently updated our BFH Rear Bumpers for the Jeep Wrangler JK. The BFH series has always represented the most hard core bumpers available, with minimalist lines for maximum clearance from the rocks. On the JK, that has also necessitated cutting the bulky stock frame rails to gain maximum clearance and departure angles. This is a concept that has been duplicated by many competitors but was originated with the original BFH series bumpers from Poison Spyder. Now the BFH II Rear Bumper series have been further refined with several major upgrades:

BFH II CROSSMEMBER
A separate weld-in replacement crossmember is now available. Traditionally when installing the BFH Rear Bumper, a portion of the rear crossmember must be removed along with the ends of the frame rails. The new BFH II Crossmembers can be welded in, in place of the stock one if the installer chooses to completely remove it. The crossmember is not required (unless with hitch), and customers may still install the non-hitch version of the BFH II Rear Bumper without buying or installing the crossmember. Also, the BFH II Crossmember may be used by itself, as an ultra-minimalist rear bumper, without the BFH II Bumper installed over it, if the customer desires. The BFH II Rear Crossmember is available in two versions: with or without the integrated hitch receiver.


HITCH RECIEVER
A hitch receiver has been perhaps the number one most requested feature for the BFH Rear Bumper, and now it is available. But there's a catch: You have to use the corresponding BFH II Crossmember, as the hitch is actually integrated into it, not the bumper. This has always been our hang-up with simply adding a receiver tube to the old BFH bumper design. It just didn't have the necessary strength to support a hitch. By integrating it to a beefy, weld-in replacement crossmember, it now has a solid foundation and the bumper simply slips on over it. When ordering, be sure to match up the bumper and the crossmember with regards to hitch or no-hitch.


RECESSED LIGHTS
Rearward facing lights are probably the second most requested feature. Now the BFH II Rear Bumpers are available with recessed mounts for 6" single-row LED light bars. The mounts are designed to accommodate Rigid Industries SR-6 lights, but many competitors' lights will also fit in the same mounts. They can be wired in as backup lights, or on a separate toggled switch for rearward facing work lights. And since they're recessed, they're protected from the rocks.

REDESIGNED TABS
The recovery shackle tabs for the BFH II Rear Bumpers have been re-designed specifically for this bumper, to fit the facets of the bumper without protruding and acting as rock anchors. Like all of our recovery shackle tabs, they are CNC machined from 1" thick steel. And we've made them standard equipment on the BFH II.


REDESIGNED BUMPER SHELL
We've made several subtle tweaks to the design of the bumper shell, most of which would be unnoticeable without close inspection. Probably the biggest change is that we've raised the top deck of the bumper somewhat, to close the gap that existed between the bumper and the bottom of the tailgate and corners, with the previous BFH bumpers.


BFH II Rear Bumpers and Crossmembers are made of 3/16" thick CNC laser cut, precision brake-formed, cold hard steel, right here in the USA. Here is the complete product line, with links to each item on our website:
