It has been brought to my attention that usgaone had in fact posted twice in the giveaway thread prior to it being closed and this should automatically disqualify him from winning. However, we cannot deny the unforeseen craziness and confusion that was going on at the time and feel that we need to take this into consideration before coming to a final decision. I hope that everyone involved in this giveaway can be forgiving for the way things played out tonight and ultimately be understanding of whatever decision we come to. Until then, this thread will be closed.

The Verdict
After much consideration, we have decided that usgaone should still be the winner of this giveaway. The circumstances upon which his win was made possible could have been and should have been avoided and we accept full responsibility for screwing things up. Needless to say, we do not feel that usgaone should be penalized for our mistakes. Unfortunately, all this was new to us and although we thought we were ready for this and tried as hard as we could to do things right, our understanding of the situation at hand and efforts to deal with them apparently weren't enough. In the end, it is our hope that we will be able to learn from this experience so that it can be prevented in the future. It is also our hope that everyone who participated in this giveaway can accept our apology for the way things turned out and be understanding of our decision to let usgaone be the winner.
If it helps, we will try to acquire another prize and do another giveaway in the near future to help make up for the mess you all experienced last night. Of course, this time around, we'll try to insure that our servers can handle the overwhelming load and that fewer mistakes are made by us.
