I read an article last week about its towing capacity. The diesel will actually be rated lower than the 3.6 gas. They said it is due to less efficient cooling in the diesel.

Default Love it!

I think the Gladiator is the best of both worlds! Im considering trading in my 08 Rubicon and 01 Dodge diesel 2500 for one diesel Gladiator.

Given that isn't likely to happen though... eh, I'll stick to my JK, and get a Tacoma again if I can't live without a truck.
I would have liked to see a two-door as well. I think the proportions would be better.

It is an overpriced, under powered, ugly truck. Huge fail here as it could have been so much better. Put it up against other small/mid trucks and it is bottom of the barrel. Hell this thing will sticker out higher then a 1500 ram and the ram would run circles around it. Too long a wheelbase to make a decent off road vehicle. IF they are smart they wont even put it out. There will be some demand for those that want a jeep but sales will fall off fast and likely discontunued for lack of interest after a year or two.
You can get a loaded Tacoma V6 for $38k, I doubt you will get into a basic model Gladiator for that and put the relabilty of Toyota vs Jeep and its a no brainer to go with the Tacoma.

I wonder how this compares to the Colorado ZR2 or the Colorado Bison... I've not priced one of these or actually seen one in person, but I believe they are similarly equipped... even has a diesel in it.

won't know until they are actually available and the prices released. I have looked at the ZR2's a lot but the biggest issue with the ZR2 is you are pretty limited to 33's unless you want to mess with the awesome suspension that it has.

Ugly is in the eye of the beholder lol. I actually just looked at a TRD pro and it was $51,000 and I am only 5'10" and 190lbs and I had a hard time sitting in it. Also took out a chevy trailboss and that was msrped at $43000 so probably otd the door at $39000 or so. it was ok but pretty bland. I looked at the Rebels but can't bring myself to subjecting myself to another fca product. that leaves Ford and I guess if the Gladiator truly ends up being $60+ a Raptor might be looking good if you could actually find one for msrp. Around here they add $5000 to the msrp its a crime. They Gladiator commercial is good tho lol.
