2.5" lift advice

I just purchased a '13 JKU a few months ago. I'm looking to put a modest 2.5" lift on. Any suggestions? Looking to spend around $500. Quadratec has the skyjacker 2.5" standard lift. Anybody running with this or a different one that they highly recommend. I'm new to all this and looking for any suggestions or advice. Thanks

If you feel it meets your needs buy it.

If your looking just to get a little extra height to fit some bigger meats and want to keep the budget down I would do a BB. I believe the Teraflex 2.5 BB is very popular and would fit in or under your price range with shocks. I personally am running the Rock Krawler 2.5 kit with the new triple rate stings from and rear along with the bilstien 5100's and love it so far. They seem to make very quality products and they give a nice kit. This with the shocks would prob end up costing you around 800-1000 tho for the kit and shocks.

Read the sticky at the top of the Modified Tech Section called "My opinion on lifts"

Then, save your money and wheel it the way it is. After you've wheeled it a few times you'll find out what you're wanting to be able to do and this will help you decide on what lift to get.

Chances are if you were to buy the Skycrapper lift right now, within the next year you'd want to replace it with something else and better. Might as well save your money and do it right the first time.

What about the rough country 2.5s with shocks under 500$. They seem comparable since they have a progressive spring? Would that be better for rock crawling?

I run the Tera 2.5" BB on my 07 JKU, I went with Bilstein shocks and am running 35" mud grapplers. I have the Rubi sliders and had to trim them a solid 1.25" then recapped. Very little rub from this setup.
