2009 hood latch recall
 

I took my 09 saraha in for 10k service on friday and the service manager informed me he had a new set of hood latches to be put on due to a recall for 09 wrangler,s. It effects 7,300 vehicles built between Aug.13 -08 and Oct.02-08MDH-081317 through 100219. Customer satisfaction notification no. H38 It was issued Nov.28 2008. Just thought i would share this with owners of 09wranglers. Hope it,s posted in the right place.

X2 they wear out. You can also do the ghetto zip tie mod, which works for me.

Yeah I have the 09 latches on my 07 - the zip ties worked just as good. I'll probably rezip tie my 09 latches here before long. They don't fix crap.

I'm sure you meant that the zip-ties worked, and the '09 latches did not work.
