Default 2010 2D Wrangler Change Oil Light @2500 Miles?

Hey guys, just wondering if this is common or not:

At 2500 Miles my "Change Oil" light came on. Is this something I should be concerned about? My dealer told me to come in at 3000 but should I go in earlier? Thanks in advance.

Service it as recommended in my opinion. Especially the first oil change. Depending on what kind of oil you use you can alter how long you run on it. If it's plain factory fill, I'd go off the vehicles oil service system.

It's pretty common for the oil change minder to come on at 2200 - 2500 miles for the 1st oil change on a new Jeep. After that the interval lengthens out.

Default I have always changed my own oil and filters and reset the light

But it goes on again like clockwork at 2500 miles anyway (now 14,000 miles). Just reset it but do keep good records as to when you change oil/filter and use the factory guidelines.

Got my oil changed at about 11500 and at 14100 the change oil light came on...is it a malfunction or what?
