Maybe I am just crazy... but I looked at my build sheet and saw that I have a 23 Gallon Tank. Now every time I go to put gas in it- I can get 18-19 at the absolute most and that is after my gas light has been on a few days and the needle is on E. Any ideas?

 

Same thing here with my 2010. I have never put in more than 20.

 

When I ordered my 2010 JKUR it said a 22.5 gallon tank.

I found out that after the low fuel light comes on, if I drive another 30+ miles, the area with the compass/temp starts reading and flashing "LOW FUEL". About another 4 miles before I filled-up, and got 20.1 gallons in.

 

4DR's have approx. a 23 gal tank. When the light goes on you have approx. 2-3 gal. left. Approx. is the key word.

 

Low fuel light and 20 miles left on computer readout. Filled up with 18.2 gallons. WTF? I thought I had 23 gallon tank with 2012 4 door jk?

 

You do. It reads low so you dont run it dry. I have never owned a vehicle that was out of gas once the gauge said E. JKs just warn you earlier so you dont run out on the trail...

 

Makes sense. So with empty reading zero I still have around 50 miles approximately. We will see?
