2012 with 24k Miles, do I need to do anything besides Oil Chg and Tire rotations yet?

Hi, I've been very good about changing oil and tire rotations, but do I need to have the dealer go through the more extensive checkup at 24k miles according to the scheduled maintenance? I haven't been following it to this point, but don't really think it was necessary. At 32k I was planning on replacing the air cleaner filter. As for use, 99.9% of my use is highway/commuting.

There are two schedules for JK maintenance. At least my '07 manual has two. One is for paved road users. The other for off-roaders. Recommend you follow the schedule for your usage. Most of the work is pretty easy, requiring basic hand tools, and dealers tend to be expensive. Even if you do just some of it and pay dealer for some, you still save some money.

Might want to check the rear brake pads. They seem to go rather quickly on the JK's, but they would most likely check them. I would do it myself, and replace them if needed prior to the dealership. That way you will not have to pay the dealership about 4 times what it would cost you to change them.

Diff fluid wouldn't hurt

I'd suggest tire rotation more frequently. Decide if 4 or 5 tire. Maybe 6k, and an alignment 2 times a year. I bought the lifetime alignment at Firestone and go in after pothole season up here in New England. Air cleaner 2x year, diff fluids are easy diy and dealer charges way too much $$$. As someone mentioned, rear pads tend to wear early, some as soon as 25k. I use and like Hawks. If you have a soft top, use 303 protectant a couple of times a year to extend fabric life. Radiator flush per schedule. Keep all receipts. Enjoy your JK

I would suggest an air filter a little more frequently than 32k miles. Since you do use it as a commuter then you've got to be cognizant of your MPG- the clogged air filter will lower them.
