Thanks Cool Danish. How did you resolve the electrical connector conflict?

If you read back in this thread, there is one poster that have pictures on how he fixed the problem.. Link below:

I pretty much did the same thing.. Taping the wire bundle together and when I re-installed the PS fluid reservoir I made sure I turned/twisted the reservoir to move the PS hardline away from the wires.
I thought about drilling a new 1/4' hole for the clip that holds the wire harness connector, but I could not get a drill in there to do it (angle was bad). So I gave up

So there is a recall. I was notified in July that they knew of the problem. In October they mailed another notice for me to make an appt. to have the work done. Today I called and my dealer said there are order restrictions of I e part per two weeks and I can't get mine repaired until NOVEMBER 2014!!! What the hell Jeep?!?! I guess I'm lucky Because I think the tech that services my leak last year fixed it well enough that I don't expect to have a problem but still. Think of all those jeeps with rubbing hoses. When your talking hot transmission fluid leaks up there I would think your looking at a fire risk aren't you?

The dealerships need to get this straight they told me to come in so they an inspect the lines and then they will order what parts are necessary. I call bs if there is a recall all parts need to be replaced I do not need to make two trips to the dealer.

Totally agree. I just have never heard of a recall taking 16 months to fix!

(Service report is below)

Below are pictures of where the leak occurs (according to my internet search this is becoming all too common on the new 2012 autos)

This picture is of the differential cover paint which was taken off from the hot trans fluid leak. (picture is upside down)<img src="https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=337608"/>

I checked the four 2012 autos on the dealer lot and 2 out of 4 were touching and will likely rub together and in my opinion may leak as well!

So check your lines and make sure they are not touching. If they are, you might want to talk to a service tech to see i they can prevent a leak.
Thnx flyfish29* just looked @ my 2012 auto trans. line & it was rubbing together (light marks) so I put some rubber (new) fuel line over them. Pretty sure it would have caused a leak; but thnx to the info. you shared-my tranny didnt dump its guts* thnx again!

Had the recall done around 2 1/2 years ago and guess what, the lines have now rubbed through , just what the recall was suppose to prevent.
Was wondering if anyone else had the repair done and still had the problem?
