tinting soft top?
i know you can buy tinted soft top windows for a soft top. but they are about 250 bucks. so i was wondering if theres a cheaper way to tint. i know tint film for regular windows would not work because of the flexibilty in the soft top windows. i found some spray on tint thats used for tail lights and such. i was thinking of spraying the windows with this but idk how it would turn out. any susgestions? i hate my clear soft top windows.

tried it and it sucked.. will start to chip away in a couple days,it gets even worse when you remove your windows from time to time. save yourself some money and get the real deal..ive seen some for sale here and on craigslist. good luck.

There's a thread on here about using the static cling tint on soft windows. I followed the write up and used it for my rear upper halves since they're clear, and it came out nice. Also helped a friend with his rear soft doors and it worked great on those too.

yea spray on will dry and harden and then chip away
regular static cling wrap will stay on better but after time passes it too will start to lose its hold and show signs of decay and bubble up
i never done anything like this either so i cant offer up a real solution.
BUT i would look more into the direction of a dye or stain
try a small amount of food coloring in a small area and see how long it lasts
