2012 passenger shock removal?
 

Anyone have any helpful tips on removing passenger side shock? Going to switch them out for some rubi shocks. That upper mount has a piece of my plastic in the way making it hard to get a wrench on it. I herd of people cutting it but was wondering if any one can post a pic for me of where and how they cut it. Thanks!

I took a screw driver and a hammer and broke away as little as I needed to get to it. Maybe someone has a better idea. Worked for me.

Was it a pain in the ass to get the nut back on the new shock?

Both the '12 & '13 are tough - in the '13 they left a little more room but it's tough. I just put Rancho shocks on a '13 & had to glue the washer, spacer, & nut together in order to get them aligned & started on the bolt.

I just trimmed the plastic back a little with some scissors to access the nut. Installing the new nut wasn't an issue.

I used a saw-zall & trimmed it right out. The nut was easy to install, just hold the nut and spin the shock to get started.

I just got done recently installing new front shocks, what a pain in the ass. I was able to get the washer and nut what I thought was close and then slid the shock up through the hole and spun the shock while trying to keep the nut and washer lined up. I got it after about a half dozen tries.

I have a 13, and had no issues putting new shocks on mine. Not sure why, maybe because it was up on a rack.

Thanks for the help install was a breeze! Nocked that plastic piece out with a screw drive just enough go get a wrench on it and spun it right off. Super easy!
