Default 2013 Fender paint crack/blemish

I have a 2 month old JKU that I just noticed after it's 1st real washing & waxing that I have crack/blemish on each front fender. I brought it to the Dealer today and they took pictures and sent them to Chrysler for warranty approval. Chrysler came back saying it is normal. I told them to reply no it is not and I want to see a Zone Rep in person to have him see it in person. Anyone else run into this problem ?
Thanks Rob ....

There's a whole thread over on Wrangler Forum about this same thing.

I've got the same on both of my front flares on my 2012, although the marks aren't as pronounced as yours. I can feel them easily, but they're pretty hard to see. I thought they looked like mold marks.

I did, however, just have my right front flare repainted under warranty because the paint was peeling. I just got my 2012 in July.

Mine arnt painted but they do have that line and it is very noticeable. Mine looks like someone cut them with a knife. Good luck getting them covered under warranty. Keep us posted

Guys, I used to be in the automotive industry, injection molding specifically... From what I can see on the picture, it appears to be a parting line in the mold, basically a molded in defect. Depends on how the parts were ran, but it could be intermittent or something they have repaired, no real way to tell other than compair it to another 2013 model and see if the line is there....

Got my 2013 JKU just days ago...just noticed these lines on my front fenders today as well...I'm not too bothered by it but I definitely don't want it to get worse...

Did you have any luck with Chrysler?

That sucks... stay persistent and be respectful in your discussion. Write down your conversation in case you need it later.

Hopefully Chrysler will make it right.

It is a mold line that is present in every JK fender painted or not. Some are more pronounced than others. I hope they can satisfy you and fix it to your liking. But probably not, it's "normal".

Normal to me means it is EQUAL or the same EVERY time.
This is NOT the case !
One side is way more worse looking than the other.
There is no EXCUSE to have a fit and finish like this on a $36,000 vehicle.

Like it or not, it is considered normal to the builders. Everyones expectations are different. What's minor to some is major to others. The best rule of thumb in the car business is LOOK IT OVER GOOD BEFORE BUYING!
