2013 - really can't get half-doors AND leather/heated seats??

So I was on the jeep site to price out a new Jeep for the 3,279th time, but this time I went with half-doors. The little warning came up as it does and said "this will remove leather seats" and "this will remove heated seats" or however it's worded.

Any reasoning why half-doors void leather/heated seats? Is this real or just another example of how the Jeep website is screwy sometimes? Has anyone ordered a 2013 with half-doors and leather/heated seats?

If this is the case, this is just another reason why I don't see many half-doors around.

Obviously they don't want the heat from the seats to escape out the half doors.

Seriously, I hope that is just a glitch in the system. Good luck with your order!

its a very glitchy system, when I priced out my 12 it said I couldn't have black leather, but at the dealer, their computer said no problem. I would ask a dealer if you really want it.

Yeah I figured at worst case the dealership would work to make the deal happen. Maybe they'd order it with full doors and leather/heat option and a set of half-doors then do the swap before I'd get it.

Maybe I'll find out someday.....

It's probably because when people run half doors more water comes in. Probably would damage the leather and the electronics. Water will get in it. Its a jeep... You don't want that luxury crap anyways

By the way... You'll really regret not having full doors in the winter. Buy it with the full doors and seat package you want. Then buy after market half doors. That's your best bet.

You cant have half doors with the power option I believe... You need the power option to have the heated seats.

X2. You are correct. You will not have power locks and obviously no power windows. Zip up windows.

you can put the heated seats in as aftermarket thru MOPAR parts.

Doesn't make sense to me, I use my heated seats a lot when my doors are off (cold mornings and evenings)
Being in the Great Lakes area you definitely want full doors in the winter, aftermarket half doors cost a lot less.
Just my $0.02
