What does everyone think about the new motor?

 

Not bad for a mini-van motor.

 

I love it so far. Though I am trying to get used to have 6 gears. =D

 

You must have misread, he's talking about the 3.6 not the 3.8.

Didn't misread a thing. It's used in the Caravan, that makes it a mini-van engine.

It was used in jeeps first though so the jeep doesn't have a minivan engine the minivan has a jeep engine!

I have a 2012 JKU auto and was one of the unfortunate one's to get the 3.21 axle gears. I'm hoping it opens up a with more mileage, it's a bit of a dog at normal acceleration right now. We'll see how it goes, I didn't have this issue with the 08 JKU manual with 3.73's (with the mini van engine). I'm a perplexed with Jeep in that they thought the it would be ok to keep it geared with the 3.21's with a tow package...who tows just 1000lbs?
