3.6L break-in
So I have a 2012 jeep jk with a 2013 3.6L. Yeah long story haha. Well anyways story gets longer. So I just did the piston rings on it. I'm bolting everything back together but my question is...
Do I have to use break in oil in it? I did use assembly lube on all the bearings and am wondering if I need to. And I also wanted to know if their was a break I process on these motors? Thanks Colby Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I would. Hell, if it wasn't so expensive I'd use it all the time.

I kind of want to heard the story.

Yes, i would for sure take it through a break in period after having the top off the motor.

So you would say use it to seat the rings properly?

just buy the cheapest oil you can find and run it for 100 miles and dump it out.

Especially if you're like me and run 100 miles every 2 days. Waste of time and money. |
