So I test drove a 08 6speed and a 08 auto I was sad that they seem gutless I was not expecting a bat out of hell but I remember my 4.0 being a bit more aggressive is this tru or is there some was to get a few more hp out of 3.8 easily

Get a Superchips programmer. Huge difference even with just the 87 octane tune.

Come on i, I had the 4.0 liter in my old 04 grand Cherokee....it wasn't any faster. What next your Corvette can't handle pot holes like your jeep?or my excursion uses too much gas.... Some of you guys are worse than mall crawlers.

Well said! I love my '08 six speed even if it is a little under powered. Though I wouldn't mind a Hemi, if only the conversion was manual friendly...

Comparison dyno charts say that the 3.8 has higher torque and HP at all RPMs. If the 4.0 were in the JK, folks would still complain--there's over 500 pounds difference in curb weight (and add another hundred more if you're comparing an Unlimited).
