33" on stock 16in steel rims?
Hey everyone.
I recently bought my jk, and i want to put bigger tires on her. I have the stock 16 steel rims and after i painted them id like to just run those for now with some 33" tires. Problem i have is, im new to truck tires (i used to drive sports cars), what size do i need? 33x?x16?
Also for the spare wheel do i need to remove the third brake light to make it fit up there with the 33" tire?
i feel dumb for asking cuz i searched the forum and for the life of me i suck at finding the answer on my own.
thanx!

i am also planning on getting 1.25" wheel spacers. i did read some where that if you use spacers you can do a 12.5 and it wont rub. any one know the correct size of the 16 in steel rim? cuz if the 12.5 wont work on my rim i dont want to try it and have problems.

Once you pull the bolt out just move it back and forth while applying a bit upward pressure. There seems to be a magic spot the doors like to let go on. Also if that does not work DO NOT i repeat DO NOT try using a jack or other similar device. I have read at least 20 posts of people that ruined doors with this method.
Make sure you have it open enough also. I had trouble with one of my rear doors and opened it about 90 degrees to the body and it came off. Also when I reinstalled the doors I put anti-seize on the hinges and threads.
