I have an ome lift, rubi tires and wheels, spidertrax spacers, rr snorkel, shrock works front stubby and rock rails, teraflex sway bar discos, arb diff covers, and I am sure I am missing a few other mods.
I do offroad and was up front with the service manager when I went in. I said look I offroad I'm not gonna lie. Obviously you are going to know that when you get under there. My control arms are scratched my first crossmember is bent and bashed, and there is mud in the frame and here and there. However, I haven't done anything to destroy my engine. (by the time I got there it would hardly run. one of the mechanics said it sounded like I sucked a jackhammer into the snorkel) They said ok, and that they appreciated me being honest. I told them to check the oil, airbox, and diffs if they liked for signs of water. They declined and fixed it under warranty

New Engine $0

Default Nice they replaced it.

Question for you, id they check your service records? In order for your lifetime warr you need to change your oil, perform all maintance according to their schedule.

Glad they replaced the motor, I bought mine 08 2dr rubicon 8 months ago has 4200 miles I'd say over 50% is off road. Plan to keep this till I go to the grave hell my even get buried in it!

This just isn't true. You don't even have to perform regular maintainance. The burdon of proof is on THEM. They have to prove your lack of maintainance CAUSED the failure. Of course, if you don't maintain it, it will tear up. Nonetheless, they still have to prove it. There is only ONE thing that you have to do in order to keep your lifetime warranty and it's spelled out in the back of your owner's manual. You have to take the Jeep in for a FREE inspection every five years. That's IT.

Thanks for the clarification. I was starting to get nervous since we change our own oil, etc. Didn't want to miss out on the lifetime warrenty for something stupid.

It did come up I use Mobil 1 oil and filters. I have no documents to back it up but they didn't say anything really about it
