Default 4 door soft top issue

First install this morning (by me...prior owner used it)

Everything is good except the small spot between the front and rear passenger doors....right above the b pillar. I can't get the plastic flange to stay in so the doors can seal correctly....there is a big gap. I have tried with and without front latches installed....its almost like the bow is sitting a bit too high. I have the little plastic cradles resting where they would seem to go (on the other bow)

Any suggestions or is it just the way it is?

Just check that every piece of the plastis channel on the soft top is in place propherly. They are in sections, some long but there is a couple of sections that are smal, like 1 1/2 inch. I have a couple of times not got these bits right and it stuffs everything up. If you feel along channel you will notice they are outside where they should be (raised from the outside). Just a thought since I have done this before.

sometimes you have to grab the door surround and twist it up to get that piece to pop in place

I'd say post a pic so we can see, other wise, un do, readjust and try again. That usually worked for me.

Thanks, had seen that video. Here are a few pictures...sorry for quality...taken with phone.

One side looks ok, but these two pictures are from the bad side. The small plastic tab and short section of curved plastic will not stay up under the gutter. The result is that the door does not seal against it.

Hard to tell from your pics but I think that is the part that goes on top of the door seal not under the channel. The door slides under it when it closes.

Took the hardtop off and swapped to the softy on Sunday. Certainly won't do that on a 4°C evening again. Top was tight as a drum.

Having the same problem. Driver's side is in OK, passenger side... not so much. Think I just need to adjust how it's sitting in the channel.

While we're at it, anyone else want to smack whatever dingbat designed/approved those plastic rear window bar clips?

Check the one bar for the Sunrider (B-Pillar)...it sometimes pops out above the bar creating a B with an Itch to snap down onto the Channels.
