I have the opportunity to pick up a 2008 4dr soft top for $300. But I have heard that somewhere around 2009/2010 changes were made and the earlier tops don't fit the 2011.

Anyone know what years are compatible with the 2011?

 

I know the 2010 is different from the 2009 as you need to clip the 2009 into the door surrounds whereas the 2010 you do not. So your best bet would be 2010 or 2011

If the 2008 comes with all the hardware such as the door surrounds i believe it should work

 

Like Croce said, the 2008 will work but you will be much happier with a 2010/2011 top but you will probably pay a little more. The cable system on the newer ones makes it so much easier to use.

I am not sure, but I think I read that the 2011 soft top back window is wider and that would require a different bar than the pre 2011 have. Definitely double check this and don't just go by my word.

 

It is a new design I just picked up a 4 door And not one leak but I am the lucky one I never had leaks in my 08 the seal is diffrent and it sits lower on the seal
