Default ABS, ESP and Traction loss Lights

2009 JK Rubicon, 202k miles, 2 3/4 spacers up front, 2 in spacers in rear, running 285/70 17 tires on stock wheels

Recent occurrence, the ABS, ESP and Traction loss lights have started coming on, nothing changes in handling or engine performance, so far when you turn the engine off and restart they go away, but return after some time.

Checked and the computer is producing no codes, I swung by my local mech when the lights were on and had him check and he found no codes either.

Battery was replaced in September as it was old and not holding a good charge, replacement was a good month before this issue started up.

Jeep runs fine, no issues with any other electricals

Thanks in advance

I had the same lights with no loss in performance and it turned out to be the ABS control module @ 85k miles on a 2010 JK. I used a dedicated ABS code reader to track it down.

Did you replace the module? How much does something like that run?

Yes, module replaced since the abs code reader specifically pointed to the control unit instead of what I believed to be a bad wheel speed sensor. You should be able to get an OEM replacement for around $400 or less online. But, you will need to get it flashed at the dealer if you do it yourself. I'm guessing dealer would probably charge around $1000 complete since their book time includes undoing the brake lines and parts are marked up. When separating the control module from the abs pumping unit, check for rust because it could mean further work may be needed.

Here's an example of changing it the easy way:

I just realized your "BRAKE" light was not listed as being constantly on....I had this on along with ABS, ESP and Traction lights you have. Your situation could just be a wheel speed sensor if I recall correctly. Cheap easy fix. Good luck.

How many wheel speed sensors does the 2009 JK have? the video online that I found show only replace a sensor on the left front wheel.

Thanks.

Jscan or Superchips can tell you if you can borrow it from a friend. I've not personally seen another scanner that can, but I'm sure there are other options out there.
