AC Recirculation issue
 

Hey all,

First of all, I am bad at cars terminologies. So please correct/aid my terminologies.

I have JK Wrangler 2014, once I was changing the AC filter and the door that opens and closes whenever you change the AC recirculation mode (i dont know what its called) got damaged and now its in one mode only. (I think it's outside air)

What's the name of the part that closes/opens this door. Whenever I click the ac circulation button I hear noises from (insert name here) indicating that it wants to open/close but the part is damaged/missing.

i think that white "door" would typically be referred to as a baffle, but is it THAT which is broken or just the actuator trying to open/close it? does it just click at you when you try? actuators are a common issue as they just have plastic gears inside that break or strip.

these actuators are usually a huge pain in the ass to access. i think that recirculating one is terrible but I've never had to deal with it firsthand. I'd research "jk recirculating door actuator replacement".
