There are several ways to go.

*Check out Craigs list. There are always new take offs that people are selling.

*Bestop makes tops for our Jeeps - I like this one http://www.bestop.com/product_detail.php?id=541&img=35

I like that one two but she has large dogs....so the pinched rear probably wouldn't work as well. Maybe I could trade :-)

Agree with DANIMAL, if you want an original softop check eBay or Craigslist. A lot of people get the dual top option and then decide they only want the hard top. You can often find them still in the box unopened. Usually people only knock a couple hundred bucks off the retail price though.

Also, check the For Sale section in the Forum

hell they sell down here for 1000 most of the time. it may be good to get it and drive down to the states and pick it up. try to find one by the border. Or if you know soemone have them get it then go visit family or friends.

They are always in FLA so that may be the best route. Does a vehicle that only came with hardtop need anything other than the soft top and frame parts?

Go USED - lots of good deals. For a good fit, I suggest you stick with 09/10 soft-tops. Earlier tops don't align as well. I got an 07 that didn't fit snugly on my 09 - a few cuts/modifications, and it works OK, but still...

keep your eyes and ears posted in Kijiji, craiglist or purchase from one of the vendors here on the site. I picked up a never used Softop for $150 CDN. Guy had to sell because of a divorce and he approached me as I was the only person in town with a unlimited JK.

I paid $1240 for a new 2010 one at my dealer.

(not cheap but less than the 1500 list and dealer will add it under my 3/36 warranty vs default 1/12 that comes with accessories)

I did watch ebay/craigs/here for a bit, but shipping was always a factor in finding one.

Good luck
