Default Alarm/Keyless entry issue

Hey all, Sometimes when I lock my Jeep (using the interior lock) and then try to unlock it with the keyless entry, it will not unlock. So then I have to unlock it using th key and then the alarm sounds. Not really a big deal, but it is rather annoying. Anyone have this problem or can anybody advise on how to fix it? Thanks

This is actually normal I think. Using the remote, or putting the key in the ignition are the only ways to turn off the alarm. Just using the key on the door won't do it.

And to the OP of this thread, I had the same problem (before my wife lost the keys, if you're reading the thread I started today). Sometimes the keyless entry wouldn't unlock the door. I just had to open it with the key, and then stick it in the ignition to get the alarm to shut up. Most of the time it worked fine. Just every now and then, it refused to unlock.
