i did the 4hi locker mod on my Rubicon and I find I hardly use it, I am in 4lo when offroad 99% of the time as it is.

Same thing for my TJ Rubicon, hardly used the 4hi mod other than to goof around in 2hi and the rear locked.

Yeah it all depends on the wheelin you do, here i'n north Dakota we get deep snow, and you need speed to get through it so being locked i'n 4 hi is great

Posi-Tap.

These things are the BEST way to tap into an existing line, short of stripping and soldering.

All Posi-Lock type connections are excellent...I've used them for years!
Wow I have never saw those? So you have never had problems with the connection with these? I'm going to have to look for those!

Yes, you'll probably have to order them online, and yes, they're not cheap...but it's the best wire connecting device made.

I don't work for them...obviously...just a fan!
Great I'll look for them on line, I wonder whAt size I'll have to order? I'm still trying to decide whT gauge I need for wiring. And make sure the connector will work with the new wire and the stock wire I'm tapping i'n to!?

My Jeep hasn't arrived yet our I could help you.

If you do figure it out, please post it up.
I would go look now but my jeep is at our house i'n town. I think the locker wire is pretty small, and I have heard that you want a pretty decent sized wire so' a fuse will blow before the wire is damaged? So hopefully I can find a posi tap thT will work!

According to my 2008 wiring diagram, the wire that controls the relay, and the wire out to the locker, are 18 gauge.

Well that's good to know thank you, so 16 gauge wire should be ok for this modd?
