Autozone Duralast AGM Battery any comments?

The battery on the 08 Ruby gave up today. Jeep sat for a week and this morning would not crank over, put on a battery charger and it would start but the battery needs to be replaced.

I was going to just get an Autozone Duralast Gold but now they have a Platinum AGM battery.

I did a search and there is not many comments about the battery that really have any experience with it. Price is $149 with a 3 year replacement warranty.

Are these batteries good or just ok, they are made by Johnson Controls.

Thanks
Don

I don't have any experience with that brand but from what I've heard if you can spring for the extra cash, optima batteries yellow top model seems to be the most popular choice, fwiw. Do you use a winch, have a stereo system, or are just generally hard on the battery? If not i would say you would be fine. Go with at least a 600 or 650 cold cranking amps and you should have good luck

Blue cap optima is marine grade. Just purchase one for daughter rig at advance auto for $202 with $25 mail in rebate. It's all I will ever use

Its a 720 CCA plus I do use my winch and also a HAM radio that is used a lot that also puts a load on the system.

Also, it's 850+ CCA and some are 950+

You really shouldn't post the same topic in multiple forums....kinda annoying

Spend a little extra and get an Optima yellow top
