yea i asked the salesman and he said, im sure it does, but ill have to check on that. when i asked him again he said it did but i didn't believe him in any way at all. what can you do though, car salesmen float from place to place. most the time we know way more than they do, trust me, I used to sell Ford and Nissan for a year. Not going to lie, i hated putting people in cars that even i wouldn't buy.

i would hope so. if they made it so you couldn't take it out I would absolutely flip out. imagine...It only comes with slow and go seating.....and they say that it isnt based off a minivan.... at least they realized some things

It is removeable but not nearly as easy as the Tjs backseat. Also Im not sure of the weight difference but the JK's back seat seemed much heavy then my old TJ, could have just been a little more akward to handle.

Default Back seat

I had a previous post, the owners manual states that you need to remove the sub woofer to get the back seat out....wrong, just turn the seat sideways and it slides right out. It is heavier than the TJ seat, get some help, it's real awkward to handle. My seat in now in my basement where it will stay till my 07 ends up on trader.com....

Your dealer sales rep should be reading every post in this website during his downtime, he may sell a few more Jeeps!!!

Default Rear seat removal

Easy to remove completely.
Fold seat ,press down on release bar ,tilt and remove.
Can be easier if you remove subwoofer first(a two minute job)as seat is rather awkward and surprisingly heavy. Two people make for an easy lift out.
After removal it's surprising how much extra space there is.

I just keep mine folded down. Works okay. I just toss my gear on top of it.
