Bad steering gear?
Just put a lift (AEV 3.5) and 37" Trail Grapplers on and took it in for an alignment.
Prior to this, there was a significant steering pull to the left which I assumed the alignment would fix.
Alignment was done and the pull was still there, I asked the mechanic about it and he said my steering box was the cause and the only way to fix it is replacement.
Anybody dealt with this issue before, a lot of people complain about "clunk" but I never heard anyone mention this problem before.
Any advice would be deeply appreciated...

I HIGHLY doubt it. If the problem was present before the lift and monster tires I find it very doubtful that your steering box would be gone. How are they aligning your Jeep??
I would be more suspect that something was either bent, or not set up properly.
See another shop.

Did you replace the trac bars front n rear to recenter your axles? If not your axles are not centered. The front moved to one side and the rear moved in the opposite direction.
To check stand a few feet in front of your jk and see if the front tires stick out more on one side. I forget which side the front axle will move to : driver or passenger side: the rest will shift to the opposite side.
Look at the tear also and see if one tire is tucked more into the wheel well and the other is out more past the fender.

Thanks for the comments.
I'll hold off and have ORE look at it when they do the gears/sleeves/gussets - I should of had them do the lift as well but I tried having a shop that was closer do it. Sounds like that was a mistake...
