Default Blow dryer to fix window creases. Yes.

Hey jeepers,

I've been dealing with a common issue that's drives some of us crazy. My back window has some creases in it. It bothers me just because its brand new and it shouldn't be like that. I heard the sun will flatten it out. Unfortunately, the sun hasn't resolved the issue. The funny thing is that I rolled it up and stored it in the bestop window storage duffel bag for a few hours...when I took it out and reattached, the window seemed to be flat. I was satisfied thinking I fixed the problem. Well, next morning...the ripples were back lol. So I'm going to try one more thing. I heard a blow dryer (with extreme caution) and a damp towel will do the trick. Be careful to heat and not to alter the plastic chemistry or you will have burn marks. I read online that this is a solution if done with caution. Anybody have any supporting claims to this? If that doesn't work, I don't know what else will. Anyone? Thanks!

Awww new windows. It's like being a kid getting your first set of eye glasses. Always trying to keep them spotless.

When I had my 11 JK brand new I about shit when the dealer washed the windows with a brush.

They ended up giving me new ones. I was happy. That was until I washed my JK a few time with a normal rag only to see them scratched again.

That's when it hit me. I looked at other people's windows. And I finally realized soft top windows only stay new for so long.

Now my 12 JKU has ripples in the rear window in the corner. This is because of a minor minor misalignment so so minor that I'm ok with it.

Yes it's new but this is one of those "Jeep things" I've learned to live with.

Oh yeah be careful not to scratch your window. Lol!!

I've used a blow dryer on a convertible top but it wasn't a Jeep. It worked OK on my old Boxster when the rear window would get a crease after a long time with the top down. It didn't hurt anything and did some good to make the window lay flat.

That's good to know that it worked. I'll try it this weekend. I just don't want to burn the plastic. I don't see why it wouldn't work or why it would return back to ripples, but I guess everyone had different success. Thanks a lot!
