thanks, looking at some axles and the guy said all jks came with 4.10s. i corrected him and asked if it was a manuel or auto he said auto. so trying to find out and couldnt remember... a auto and 3.21 that must suck, 4 some reason i thought automatics came with 410s due to the gearing of first.

 

Optionally or it's standard with the tow package - just make sure if you're buying used to have the jeep dealer run the codes and tell you what the axle ratio was - someone could have added the hitch/wiring afterwards and not gotten the gears with it... I tried to have a dealer sell me an '08 without the tow package and 3.21 gears and said he can put the hitch and wiring on and "it's the same thing" - told him to double-check he was miffed when he figured out I knew about the 4.10's - he basicly lost the sale... I just ended up getting an '08 instead of keep looking at the '07's and trying to find what I wanted.

 

they are right. tow came with 4:10 in 2007

 

I'm pretty sure that all 07 autos came with 4.10s (mine did and I don't have the tow package). In 07, auto = 4.10s.

 

I ahve an 08 auto tow group with the 3.73 axle ratio. Dang them for not having the higher ratio standard for the 2008's!!!

 

Just double checked my sticker. In 07, selecting the auto trans option got you the trans skid and 4.10s as well. No tow package required.
