I stopped by the dealer & they took them out of a box of their pads for me.

All for the low, low price of $20.

UGH!

At least I have the 8 new clips now.

On another subject, while my back pads were completely worn out, my front pads were like 80% new. WTF?

WOW what a rip off, they list for $14 bucks wtf???????

I would have thrown them back at the guy, screw that

a lot of people have had the backs go out first, the traction control could be causing it

I replaced my rear pads last week and noticed the very same thing! The rear were at the wear indicator and the front still looked new. On all my other Jeeps, it was always the opposite.

BTW, I bought the Duralast Gold Cmax rear pads from Autozone and they came with the pads, clips, and grease for the caliper bolts. Cost me $55 and they have a lifetime warranty so I'll never have to pay for pads again. I'll just have to take off the old set, haul em up to AZ, and I'll get a new set free.

be careful with brake parts (or any part for that matter) that offer "lifetime warranty." usually that warranty protects against manufacturing defects, not necessarily a warranty on wearing-out.

Most major parts suppliers have hardware kits available separately if they don't come in the box, and premium pads will always have the hardware for the install.

That's a very good point. Fortunately the AZ warranty does cover wearing out. With 35's on my ZJ, I swapped the front and rear pads annually and only paid for the first set. The rotors only had a 90 day warranty from what I recall, but they were cheap. Haven't priced the JK rotors yet.
