Default Broken Shift Bezel

Hey folks, got an 08 2dr X with 7,000 miles on it. I've always noticed that over bumps the shift will vibrate very heavy. So much in fact that it has pulled the rubber off of the bezel and cannot be placed back. Is there a possibility that this could be covered under warranty? If not what do you think the replacement cost would be? Thanks in advance.

Default seen it on the forum

I saw a thread a while back but I am not sure what category it was in but someone had a similar problem so they drilled out the plastic "bolt heads" and put in real machine screws and nuts on the bottom. You could pick up a few at your local hardware store for a few bucks. It looked good when they got through. Search it and see if you can find it but if not it would not be that hard to figure out.

It may be covered under warranty but, if you want to add an aluminum billet bezel you can purchase an after market product and replace the oem plastic version.

I would try to warranty it. I have been in the dealer enough to hear more than a few times techs come in to the parts dept. wanting a new one of those because they leaned against it and broke it.

They know it breaks easy and is not a far fetched idea that it broke on its own. But... if they dont I think it was under $30 for a brand new one.

Quadratec has a polished metal (maybe stainless??) replacement that might be a more permanent solution. Rather than wasting more $$$ on cheap plastic junk!
