I only use the jeep maybe handle full of times each Month. I recently let a friend use it for a month and he put 2k on it. I used it this weekend to go camping in harpers ferry. On the way back the jeep started to buck (Side to side) as I was driving. It got worse at stop lights. After pulling over and checking the oil I noticed it was 2quarts short . Put oil in let the jeep set for a few hrs. I then drove 20mins and it started to do the same thing. Any ideas?. No check engine light or any other ones are on. It's a 2007 unlimited with 48k on it.

Does the steering wheel shake in your hands when it's doing it? May be death wobble, if so, check your front end components for wear/tightness.

Never to early for a tune up When you say "bucking" like running low or restriction in fuel?

It is when driving normal speeds. Just does it every 30mins or so. Really does it when in drive at stop lights. I changed plugs and wires. I noticed one wire was barely on the plug. Drove it 20miles had no issue so far.

If the steering wheel wasn't shaking, then it's probably not the "death wobble" mentioned above. Hopefully it was just that loose plug wire causing that cylinder to misfire and you're all set now.

I would bet on the loose spark plug wire being the issue.

Glad it's fixed.

Your friend put 2,000 miles on your Jeep in a month? Wow, that's a lot.

Chances are the plug wire no being fully connected to the spark plug was causing a slight misfire ( hence the bucking feel ) since electricity takes the path I lease resistance the spark plug wire was arching and not giving the spark plug the proper voltage it should. Hope this has helped.
