Anyone hear of troubles with JK locks?

I just bought a new 09 JK X (500 miles old) and when I tried turning the key to lock the tailgate -- I heard something snap and something fall within the door. Then took some effort to remove the key.

I haven't had a chance to talk to the dealership yet -- will call tomorrow.

Thoughts?

 

Sounds like a warranty visit to me.

I haven't heard of that happening before.
