C2200 Error Code
 

Recently my Jeep started throwing a code C2200 which identifies a failure within the ABS Control Module. I have reviewed previous threads which addressed this:

[size=13px]The challenge I'm having is it does not register when I first start it up but comes on after driving a few miles. JSCAN was able to find the unit and go thru two bleed cycles of the ABS. Since the code does not stay on and JSCAN can try and bleed the unit, I'm having doubts that it is bad. I have already tried all the suggestions in the above threads.[/size]

The cheapest I can find the part (Mopar #68145835AE) is around $650 and is on back order at many places. I read one thread where someone had the C2200 code and replaced the module but it did not fix their problem. Before I spend that much for something that may not fix my problem, how can I tell if the module is really bad or not?

Since it cost no money at all, I am curious if you tried what @ronjenx suggested in that first thread you linked with 1 wheel on pavement and one off pavement as a means of forcing traction control to kick in.

I did. Had no effect on the issue.

After messing with it for several hours over the weekend (cleaning the connection, bleeding the ABS multiple times) I thought maybe I didn't let the @ronjenx method play out long enough. I went back out this weekend on on long stretch of deserted road, waited until the light reset and punched it until the traction control kicked in. I did this twice but the ABS light and Code C2200 came back about 1/4 mile later.
At this point I'm afraid I have to just bite the bullet and spend the $600 and hope that fixes it. I need to renew my registration next month and I can't pass inspection with the error code present.

right there with you. 2014 JKU 127000 miles. Same shit C2200 codes come and go.I used Deoxit twice on the main connector codes gone for a little over a day. I should have a new control module soon. I'll let you know if it cures the problem. You need to get with a dealer that will code your vehicle VOR. vehicle off road. in other words the car is parked and un-driveable because of safety issues of failed ABS and traction control. that will get you on the list for a new control module. of course you'll still have to pay for it. But don't pay more than $660 after core return. This should be lemon law I don't care about age or miles. The grill, the removable doors, the fenders, and the silhouette all iconic design. Very Shitty engineering. Heinous customer service.

Well I guess I tried tweaking it one time too many. It is now throwing codes U1110, U1120 and U1121, all related to not being able to find the ABS module. The speedometer doesn't work and because the jeep can't tell how fast it is going, the auto transmission will not shift out of first gear. Shifting from reverse to drive also results in a hard clunk. Right now it is dead n the water in my garage until I can find a new module.

You need to get your Jeep coded VOR to get a new module quicker. I'll have mine Tuesday after getting it ordered on 5/18. They are making new ones in small batches of about 40.

checked with local jeep dealer. They want $200 to flash my new module. I have seen it done in real time and it takes about 15 to 20 minutes tops. I told them it was unreasonable to charge what amounts to $800 per hour for such a simple task. I will pay for a really nice $400 scanner that will do the job and use it for future code violations before I'll pay a dealer.

Went to a local dealer and they had no idea what a VOR was. There computer said they are supposed to receive some in 45 days.

Did you get your new controller and did it fix the problem?
