I have a Quadratec emergency rain cover. It is what it is.....and overpriced for what you get. That said, it serves it's function decently, and I have used it a couple times.

https://www.quadratec.com/products/11174_1051_07.htm

Pros -

- It can be thrown on in a matter of minutes
- It takes up very little space to keep in the jeep (about the size of a big poncho folded up)
- Speaking of ponchos....it comes with 2 of em....lol.
- Technically you can drive with this on....but I would not suggest anything over 20mph
- Better than a rain soaked cab!

Cons -

- $120 for this item is a joke
- Material is thin like a cheap tent...and the stitching at the seams is poor
- Does not cover front doors, so if all 4 doors are off it would be useless

I'm topless most of the time, and have used this item a handful of times over the last several years....mainly during camping trips and such. I'm not certain it's something I'd want my jeep sitting in a monsoon in for 3 days with it on. That said, I've seen other cab covers and they take a decent bit of storage space. Not something you'd really carry with you.....more of a keep at home to cover up in the drive kind of products. I did look at one of the Bestop cab covers while making a different craigslist purchase -

Overall impression was material was thick canvas....much more substantial. I'd probably feel better with the jeep sitting for days with that on, but again, not a product you'd carry with you all the time due to the size it takes when rolled up. It had some weight to it.....like carrying an old canvas tent.

I've been using this one for almost 2yrs now. Though it doesn't state it's water proof I've actually had it on while it lightly sprinkled without anything getting wet inside. I typically put it on while I'm camping or at work sometimes since there's a bunch of tree's in the parking lot and leaves here blow like crazy every where.

Can't beat $35 at least for what I use it for.

I have the Bestop All Weather Trail Cover. It's bulky and impossible to get back into it's carrying case. But, it's absolutely waterproof. To the point that after a night of rain it will hold water in the center of the top that you'll have to push out before taking it back off. It secures the vehicle easily and stays put in pretty heavy rain/wind.

I've had it for three years and it's faded and stained but still holding up.

After your testimony I think I might get one, when having the top off it's good to know that if it does rain while I'm at work I can quickly put it on and not worry about water getting in. With my current cover I had to worry if it was going to rain hard or not. Thanks

Which cover did you have previously? Only downside of that Bestop is the size when it comes to storing it in the jeep for when you need it.

I currently have a rampage

https://www.quadratec.com/products/1...XqPBoCKqbw_wcB

but it's not waterproof and the only reason I bought it was when I go camping and sometimes at work the tree leaves blow everywhere. I wouldn't mind throwing it in the back when I have the top off.

Just curious if you have any troubles getting the cover on and off the jeep? Is it a two person job or could I easily do it myself?
