Went through a couple different car washes when the hard top was on. After the weather improved I noticed all of the scratches and swirl marks. I would never take a soft top through the wash. I am done with them. Maybe a spray off but the washes will be done in the driveway from here on out. Luckily I had hail damage and I was able to replace the hood with minor imperfections with a 10A hood.

I agree, skip using the brush people use that for everything. Work top to bottom you'll find it to be quicker, much more effective and cheaper than the drive through kind.

I usually go to a "Rubber Ducky" style wash bay to spray the heavy caked on mud off, than take it home to hand wash, usually works out well until the manager comes and kicks me out of the rubber ducky for clogging the main drains with mud and grass....

LOL. HELL YEAH!!! My goal is to not be able to fit too. I eat 3-4 BigMacs a day. I still fit for now.

Just kiddin.

My Jeep fits with 12.50 wide tires and a 4" lift. Couldn't imagine having a Jeep that wouldn't fit a carwash. That's awesome.

Sent from the fast lane while driving one handed.

Default Careful in the Carwash!

I bought my Jeep a couple of years ago and thought I'd just take it through an auto-wash. That was a mistake!!! Two of spinning brushes decided to wedge themselves on each side of my spare and drug me backward for a foot before crashing the wash itself. Took about 20 minutes to untwist the brushes out without doing any damage.

Been washing mine by hand ever since!!!

I cant do touch car washes either way, too many things for it to get caught on even with the hard top in the winter, actually had my tire carrier open once while in the car wash just sat and crossed my fingers it didn't damage the car wash.

As for touche less and a soft top i avoid them it puts a lot of extra stress on the soft top and depending on how close the nozels are can actually damage the top.

I clean my jeep by hand or with a wand wash and make sure to not spray the soft top too close with the wand wash or in once spot for too long.
