Coming on eleven years of original ownership
Let’s hear from original owners of first gen JK’s (2007-2011). Miles? Issues? Experiences? How many of us are left?
I’ve enjoyed mine a lot! And it’s been paid for forever and easy to work on. Love that I have no power options so no gremilins to worry about. Regret not getting the Rubicok though

I bought my 2010 in June 2010- 190k miles on it and she still runs great. I don't think I could have asked for the vehicle to give any more than it has. No issues really outside of wear parts (brakes, tires, shocks, clutch).

Original owner of my 2008 JKU. Just passed 80k miles. Minimal issues (knock on wood) other than several sets of calipers, brake booster and siezed tie rod. Everything else was normal wear and tear or self inflicted.

I have an 09 JKU with 181k miles and am the original owner. Lots of maintenance, but nothing has ever broke and left me stranded. I have also been running a superchip for the last 100k miles miles with no issues. Burns/leaks about 1 quart of oil over 3k miles.

Bought my '09 JKUR new in April '09. A few minor issues over 75,000 miles, much of which has been on our mountain trails and over in Moab. Nothing to complain about that an additional 100 horsepower and torque couldn't overcome. A friend just gave me the MyGig RER out of hers, so now I have a new toy.

2008 jk x
I have a 2008 JK X. Bought new in Sep, 2008. Have about 70K miles now. Been pretty good, fun and easy to drive.
Repairs/replacements that I remember:
-warranty clutch replacement early on
-steering damper
-tires
-battery
-rear brakes
-3 brake fluid flushes
-shocks
-EGR valve
-spark plugs and wires
-knock sensor
-driver side front and rear axle seals
-2 windshields - 1 was self induced
-2 repairs for fuel spit back when filling
-antifreeze replacement (2 times)
-6 month oil/filter changes to maintain warranty
-driveline fluid changes
-burns a little oil and has a little detonation
I think that is about it. Guess I will drive it for a long time

2009 JKU, purchased new in Sept. 2009. 158K miles, no major engine drive train issues, still starts and runs great. I haven't noticed any oil burning. Mostly general wear and maintenance item repairs which I've been able to do myself. I still enjoy the vehicle and really enjoy not having an auto payment for the past 4 years. What used to be my auto payment $, is now my mod and maintenance spending money and as long as I spend more of that $ on mods than maintenance, I'll remain happy.

2007 JKU Rubiconan to list
Original owner, 168K miles. Love the jeep and don't ever plan on getting rid of it. Had more things go wrong with it than I care to list however most were covered under the lifetime warranty.

2008 JKU, Around 80,000 miles. Bought new in May 2008. Totally stock and generally pretty bulletproof. There are some design features that I dislike, like the horrible windshield defroster and I hate the abysmal gas mileage. But it has been a good car.
