Hi, picked up a new 11 Rubi. It was ordered from factory with a 730 Nav. radio. The dealer switched it out before I bought it and installed a 430 touch screen radio in its place. I knew all this going in. BUT, now I have no compass. The dealer said the compass attachment was in the original Nav. radio and now there is nothing. Anyone have this experience? or know a fix I could tell the STUPID dealer to do? Thanx, in advance, Harry

 

Not sure about the 2011's, but on the older models I think the compass module is under the upper dash panel. They had to remove that panel to swap the radio, so maybe they just forgot to plug the module back in?

 

The dealer may be right! My 2010 Nav radio just went out and my coumpass now reads SW all the time.

 

Whenever my garmin sits on that panel in it holder, it somehow messes up the jeeps compass and it just says SW. As soon as I remove the garmin stand thingy, the jeeps compass starts working again. Is it possible that something in the gps (both my portable one and the factory one) screw something up in the compass?
