I've experienced BLD myself on the trails (2014 JKU Sport S here) and can say that it was pretty impressive. I'm here in Florida too, so there's not much rock-crawling around here, but there were a few times when one of my wheels was off the ground and I felt BLD kick in and pull me right over.
