Default Cooper Tires??

I have a chance to pickup some Cooper Tires very reasonable for my JK. The BFG-KM are about wore out and have been looking for some new tires. Was going to BFG-KO and a local tire shop offered me a special price on the Coopers. They say couple of hundred $ less than the BFG. Are they worth buying? Anyone had experience with this brand?

about 8 or 9 years ago before I had 4x4's I went with a set of Coopers for my Honda Accord. I have since blacklisted this brand from my wallet. They were crap.

I know quite a few that run STT's and are very happy with them.

I have run coopers on a number of my vehicles, they have been great. If you can get a good deal go for it.

I've got the STT's and love them. Very trailworthy and great on the highway. Will buy them again.

agreed...19K miles so far on my STT's and hardly any noticeable wear. little-to-no road noise, great on pavement, dirt, sand and mud (havent had a chance to try snow or ice...but i imagine they suck on the ice, like most MT's)

other than a cut in the sidewall (about 1" up from the bead)...i've had no issues with them, and honestly, i'm not sure any tires truly offer any great protection in this area. that said, i wouldnt hesitate to buy them again if i could find another great deal on them.

A lot of people run Cooper tires and don't realize it. Cooper Tire manufacturers the Pro Comp, Dick Cepek and Mickey THompson tires.
