I would suggest going to a 15" rim with no lift, that way you get more sidewall so you can air down.

33x10.5R15 would be good for no lift.

If you want a 17" wheel, then your best bet would probably be to find someone with tires pulled from a stock Rubi (32x10R17) and run those.

However, if you want the look of that lifted Jeep, then you're probably better off going with a smaller wheel like a 15", it will make your Jeep look a little bigger/higher by comparison. You could probably get away with a 33" tire if you go with a little higher back-spacing to prevent rubbing.

If you are going with a tire which is 12.5" wide or less, I would go 15x8. Wider than 12.5", go 15x10. You could use a 15x10 with a tire 11-12" wide, but you stand more chance of popping a bead if you air down.

If you are going for that look... why not just get a Budget Boost? They are just a set of simple spacers that go on your springs. I have heard some good things about the Teraflex 2.5" boost and then you will be able to get 35" tires. Most of the reviews I have read say that there is really no difference in the road manners with the boost (since it uses the stock springs and shocks). Plus, Teraflex kit is only $225. Then you can actually get that look in stead of trying to replicate it.

im not trying to make the car look like its lifted. i just want to fit a decent size tire in the wheel well while keeping the stock height. I like the tucked look in cars and trucks. I dont plan on climbing HUGE rocks just yet so some big tires will do just fine.
