Jeep figures if you have a concussion, you wont complain about all the other little things they overlooked.

We're lucky they didnt put thumbtacks in them.

The headrests ARE bad... but if you pound on 'em a little, they soften up slightly. Do this: Wait until they're nice and warm some sunny day, then beat the hell out of them with you hand, or your head, or whatever... they DO soften a little (very little, but better than nothing!).

I agree...I'd like a video demonstration. It would make my day at work oh so enjoyable

I was thinking they would make great bumperettes.

Sorry... I don't have any video capability. It's really simple though. I've pressed my head firmly against the headrest and pushed backwards (mushing the headrest) dozens, if not hundreds, of times, and it did soften up a little. I didn't headbutt it, if that's what you're thinking; my HEAD would be softer! I have banged on them several times, too, which I believe is the major "tenderizing" factor.

Even though my headrests are softer now than they were when the Jeep was brand new, I still wouldn't want to have a big impact with them - "softer" is a relative term, and they're still VERY firm.

I have never in my life used a head rest. So you guys are telling me you drive around with your head resting on a head rest? Weard. I thought they were only present to prevent wiplash.

Maybe I am just the weard one by not using a head rest.
